Cisco develops, manufactures and sells networking hardware and telecommunications equipment to businesses around the globe. It is the world’s largest networking company, with revenues of $48 billion in 2017.
As part of a campaign to promote its Unified Computing System servers, Cisco hired Wordsworks to produce the copy for a series of electronic direct mailers (eDMs) aimed at senior decision makers in the IT and technology industries across South East Asia.
The final draft had to combine accessible and compelling copywriting with language that communicated at a high level with a tech-savvy audience quickly able to spot errors and misplaced claims.
Working with existing technical information and detailed telephone interviews and briefings with Cisco’s internal comms team, we developed the overall structure for the eDMs before supplying final copy that was quickly approved.
Cisco was delighted with our final work, and even more impressed with the commercial results of our efforts.
Subsequently, we were tasked with writing another series of direct email invites for a Unified Communications & Collaboration (UC&C) event in Australia, in conjunction with Tata Communications. We were also asked to write a number of case studies, an example of which is below.
