The Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) is the regional body responsible for stimulating the economic growth and regeneration of England’s North West.

Wordsworks is one of only a handful of agencies on the agency’s approved copywriting list – a position we have held for the past five years.

Some of the projects we have provided content for include:

Series of business finance brochures

A series of brochures promoting the NWDA’s business finance products. These range from grants and loans to equity stakes and business angels. The brochures are all aimed at new business owners or potential entrepreneurs. As such, they need to explain the issues clearly, in concise, plain English, avoiding jargon or in depth financial language, and encouraging readers to contact the NWDA.

Promotional brochure on Ancoats

Ancoats Urban Village is a key regeneration project in east Manchester; a project in which the NWDA is playing a lead role.

Wordsworks was commissioned to develop the content for a brochure showcasing the renaissance of Ancoats. The aim was to encourage businesses and individuals to consider Ancoats as a place to work, live and invest. As such, it is aimed at a wide, non-specialist audience, and we devised the tone and structure of the brochure accordingly.

Series of investment case studies

Wordsworks was commissioned to research and write a series of case studies showcasing inward investment successes in the North West. This involved identifying and liaising with the often multinational investors, interviewing key personnel either in person or over the telephone, and writing an interesting and informative case study.

Investment website

As well as a number of off-line projects. Wordsworks is responsible for writing and editing the copy on an on-going basis for the NWDA’s investment website.

This mainly involves researching and writing monthly news stories, feature articles and case studies.
