Project
Writing all the text for two websites, one annual prospectus and two course brochures
The Brief
The College of Law is the UK’s largest provider of postgraduate legal education. It re-branded its marketing material, moving away from the traditional image of the legal profession to a more dynamic, innovative and modern feel.
One of the first parts to be done was the website for The College’s Professional Development division, which provides training for qualified lawyers. Wordsworks successfully tendered for the project through The College’s retained design agency, Soukias Jones Design.
The Scope
Wordsworks re-wrote the website, using a combination of existing copy and newly originated copy. The tight ten-day deadline involved writing 18 ‘sections’ of copy (around 18,000 words) over 7.5 days.
And there’s more…
So pleased was The College of Law (and Soukias Jones Design), that Wordsworks was then asked to re-write The College’s flagship marketing products – the 40-page Prospectus and two key course brochures, one of 16 pages and the other 12 pages.
They wanted the text to be “concise, engaging, confident”, so that’s what we did.
The final piece in the jigsaw (and quite a large piece) was The College’s main website. Wordsworks re-wrote all the text to bring the tone and style into line with everything else.
The Results
Julia Elward, marketing manger at The College of Law, loved what we did: “Well done, I think you’ve produced most wonderful copy in a very short space of time to meet deadlines. Thank you very much for all your hard work.”
