Northwest Development Agency

Project
Writing a series of case studies for the corporate marketing department.

The Brief
Wordsworks has been on the copywriting panel for the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) since 2003. One of our on-going tasks is to write inward investment case studies showcasing large companies that have invested in the North West.

The Scope
For the first set of four case studies, Wordsworks identified four inward investment projects that best suited the case study brief. We made contact with the appropriate individuals at each investee organisation, discussed the nature of the case studies with them and obtained their approval. We then interviewed senior managers at each company, ensuring that we covered the specific issues that the NWDA wanted to include in the case studies.

We drafted a 750-word case study for each project, liaised with both the NWDA and each investee company to secure all round approval for the text and sourced photographs.

The Results
The case studies were approved and published on the NWDA’s inward investment website, as well as being used as general corporate marketing collateral.

Colin Prendergast, corporate marketing manager at the NWDA, said: “Thanks for all your work on this - much appreciated and very happy with it.”
